Batik dyeing is a resist process: wax is applied to the cloth before the dye, and where the wax sits the colour does not take.

Done by hand, it produces a mottled, cloudy finish that no two lengths of cloth share — which means no two of these bags are the same. The canvas is then waxed again for weather, trimmed in crazy horse cowhide at the base and straps, and built around a padded section for a 15-inch laptop.

It is the most distinctive-looking bag in the range and, at this price, the easiest one to justify.
