Product details
The shape old postal bags were made in, at the size of a phone, a wallet and a paperback.
Cylindrical bags went out of fashion because they are harder to make than flat ones — the ends have to be cut, moulded and stitched in rather than folded. What you get for that trouble is a bag that keeps its shape whether it is full or nearly empty, and never collapses into a sad leather envelope at your hip.
In cowhide it is small, heavy in the hand, and quietly expensive-looking.
Features
- Structured cylindrical body that holds its shape empty
- Moulded, stitched end panels rather than folded corners
- Buckled flap closure
- Fully adjustable leather strap for crossbody or shoulder carry

Why You'll Love It
Small bags are where cheap leather gets exposed — there is no volume to distract from the surface, and every panel is at eye level when it is worn. This one is cut from the same hide as the rucksacks, which is why it feels heavier than it looks. It will darken fastest at the flap and the strap, and it is the piece in the range most likely to be borrowed and not returned.
Materials
Made to move with you
Every KHAL GOLD piece has to answer the same question before it earns a place in the range: will it still perform, and still look right, after years of daily use? We choose materials for how they age, construction for how it holds up, and details for how little they ask you to think about them once you're out the door.
